Jewel never has worn braces but she mentions in her blog that ortho was certainly recommended by her dentist. She said she did not want perfect teeth and declined the orthodontics. With her great looks and winning voice I guess we can overlook a few crooked teeth. It does give her a unique appearance that at first is hard to place. We are so accustomed to everyone famous having perfect teeth. Maybe she was right to decline braces. We should prefer unique over same, shoudln't we?
